Repeals Colorado Revised Statute 8-2-122, which requires employers to submit employment verification affirmations to the state within twenty days of hiring new employees.

Eliminates the requirement for employers to attest they have verified employees' legal work status, not altered identification documents, and not knowingly hired unauthorized aliens.

Removes authority for the Division of Labor to conduct random audits of employers and to request documentation based on valid complaints of non-compliance.

Eliminates fines of up to $5,000 for first offenses and up to $25,000 for subsequent offenses for failing to provide or submitting fraudulent documentation.

Takes effect August 10, 2016 (or 90 days after final adjournment), unless subject to a referendum petition requiring voter approval in November 2016.
