CO SB112

Requires counties with at least 25,000 active electors to designate one voter service and polling center (VSPC) for each 75,000 active electors during the first 7 days of early voting.

Maintains the requirement of one VSPC for each 30,000 active electors during the second 7 days of early voting up to but not including election day.

Removes the requirement that VSPCs must be open on the first Saturday during the 15-day period prior to election day, while keeping the requirement that they remain closed on Sundays.

Applies to all general elections conducted on or after the effective date of the act.

Takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly (August 10, 2016), unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case voter approval at the November 2016 general election is required.
