Submits a constitutional amendment to Colorado voters on November 8, 2016 to eliminate the requirement that each county elect a county surveyor.

Allows each county to determine by ordinance whether to have a county surveyor, whether the surveyor should be elected or appointed, the term of office, and compensation to be provided.

Makes county surveyors optional rather than mandatory, giving counties discretionary authority to establish surveyor positions as needed.

Protects the terms of county surveyors serving or elected to serve terms commencing in January 2017, preventing the amendment from extinguishing existing terms.

Requires a majority vote of Colorado registered electors for the amendment to become part of the state constitution.
