Submits a constitutional amendment to Colorado voters on the November 8, 2016 ballot to remove the exception allowing involuntary servitude as punishment for crime.

Amends Section 26 of Article II of the Colorado Constitution by striking the language "except as a punishment for crime, whereof the party shall have been duly convicted."

Ballot measure asks voters: "Shall there be an amendment to the Colorado constitution concerning the removal of the exception to the prohibition of slavery and involuntary servitude when used as punishment for persons duly convicted of a crime?"

Amendment becomes part of the state constitution if a majority of electors voting on the ballot title vote "Yes/For."
