The Colorado General Assembly recognizes centennial farms and ranches as vital to Colorado's history and economy, acknowledging farms owned and operated by the same family for 100 years or more.

Nearly 500 family farms and ranches across 61 of Colorado's 64 counties have been designated through the Colorado Centennial Farms program since its creation in 1986.

Colorado's food and agriculture industry generates over $40 billion in economic activity annually and supports more than 170,000 jobs, with centennial farms contributing to conservation efforts and renewable fuel production.

The resolution recognizes the 30th anniversary of the Colorado Centennial Farms program and hopes more farms will receive this recognition over the next 30 years.

Copies of the resolution shall be sent to the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Colorado State Fair, Colorado Tourism, and History Colorado.
