Senate Joint Resolution 16-017 Summary

• Designates March 16, 2016, as "Colorado Agriculture Day" to recognize the state's agricultural industry and its contributions to the economy and food supply.

• Acknowledges that agriculture is Colorado's second largest industry, supporting more than 173,000 jobs and contributing $41 billion to the state's economy.

• Recognizes Colorado's agricultural exports of more than $2 billion in food and agricultural products in 2014 and the industry's provision of $67.5 million annually to support state wildlife.
