• Acknowledges that more than 80,000 Coloradans with intellectual and developmental disabilities live, work, and attend school in communities rather than institutions.

• Recognizes The Arc's 60+ years of advocacy through 13 local chapters across Colorado supporting children, adults, families, and advocates in the disability community.

• Expresses appreciation for The Arc's commitment to community inclusion, civil rights, and self-determination for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to state officials, The Arc leadership, and 30+ Colorado disability service organizations and advocacy groups.
