Proclaims May 1-8, 2016, as "Holocaust Awareness Week" in Colorado and directs the people of Colorado to teach and remember the injustices of the Holocaust while committing to prevent future atrocities.

Acknowledges the Nazi regime's systematic persecution and murder of 6 million Jews between 1933 and 1945, plus 5 million other civilians deemed "inferior," including Sinti and Roma people, Poles, people with disabilities, gay men, Jehovah's Witnesses, Soviet prisoners of war, and political dissidents.

Specifically recognizes the Polish Jewish community, the largest in Europe before the Holocaust, with 3.3 million Jews living in Poland prior to 1945, of which 3 million were executed.

Honors the 6,620 Righteous Among the Nations who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust, including named individuals such as Oskar Schindler, Irena Sendler, and Jan Karski.

Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to Holocaust memorial organizations, educational institutions, Jewish organizations, and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
