HB 17-1060 Summary

• Repeals the requirement for the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to submit annual reports on children's access to and quality of health care under state medical assistance programs and children's basic health plan, effective upon passage.

• Repeals the requirement for annual reports on progress toward maximizing the number of children with medical homes enrolled in state assistance programs, effective upon passage.

• Repeals the annual report requirement on the all-payer health claims database implementation status and recommendations, effective upon passage.

• Adds sunset language notwithstanding Section 24-1-136(11)(a)(I) to several ongoing health care and program reports, with effective dates ranging from November 2, 2017 to January 3, 2018, allowing those reports to expire as scheduled.

• Modifies language in statutes governing medically indigent programs, Medicaid management systems, provider rate reviews, and intellectual and developmental disabilities services to reference the sunset provisions in Section 24-1-136(11)(a)(I).
