Allows prosecution of sexual assault on a child offenses involving a pattern of abuse to be tried in a single county where at least one act occurred or where an act in furtherance of the offense was committed, rather than requiring separate trials in each jurisdiction.

Applies to sexual assault on a child under Section 18-3-405(1) committed as part of a pattern of sexual abuse under Section 18-3-405(2)(d), and sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust under Section 18-3-405.3(1) committed as part of a pattern under Section 18-3-405.3(2)(b).

Prohibits double jeopardy by preventing defendants from being tried twice for the same incident of sexual conduct involving a child that has already been alleged as part of a pattern of sexual abuse.

Takes effect upon passage and applies to acts constituting a pattern of sexual abuse for which the statute of limitations has not yet expired as of the effective date.

Declares the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
