• Extends court hearing notice timelines for special district petitions from 20-40 days to 21-42 days, for water/irrigation districts from 60-90 days to 63-91 days, and for related subdistrict hearings from 60-90 days to 63-91 days

• Changes notice delivery method from registered mail to first-class mail or electronic service through the judicial department's e-filing system

• Allows bulletin board notices in family court proceedings to be posted on the district court website instead of only in the clerk's office

• Applies to all petitions filed on or after the effective date of September 1, 2017, subject to referendum petition provisions
