Requires health benefit plans covering contraception to reimburse in-network providers and dispensing entities for dispensing prescription contraceptives in multi-month supplies.

First-time dispensing of prescription contraceptives must be for a three-month supply; subsequent dispensing must be for a twelve-month supply or through the end of coverage, whichever is shorter.

Prescribed vaginal contraceptive rings must be dispensed for a three-month period.

Defines "prescription contraceptive" as medically acceptable oral drugs, patches, or rings used to prevent pregnancy that require a prescription and are covered under the policy.

Takes effect January 1, 2019, subject to voter approval if a referendum petition is filed within 90 days after the legislature adjourns.
