CO HB1342

Allows county boards of commissioners to submit county public safety improvements tax proposals to voters at general elections, biennial county elections, or elections held on the first Tuesday of November in odd-numbered years, with the board determining which election type to use.

Requires tax proposals to include a description of the tax, its purposes, and the amount to be imposed.

Permits tax proposals to include a provision seeking voter approval to retain and expend all or a portion of tax revenues outside of district fiscal year spending under Colorado Constitution Article X, Section 20.

Requires election conduct to conform to Colorado's general election laws and the provisions of Article X, Section 20 of the state constitution.
