• Requires landlords to provide at least 21 days' notice before increasing rent in tenancies lasting one month or longer but less than six months, unless a written agreement specifies otherwise.

• Amends Colorado Revised Statutes section 13-40-107 to change the notice-to-quit period for month-to-six-month tenancies from seven days to 21 days.

• Takes effect on August 9, 2017, or 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless subject to referendum petition.

• If a referendum petition is filed, the act becomes effective only upon approval by voters at the November 2018 general election.
