• Adds new measures to Colorado's postsecondary and workforce readiness performance indicator beginning in the 2020-21 school year to track students demonstrating college and career readiness at higher achievement levels.

• Requires the state board of education to adopt both minimum and higher achievement standards for each college and career readiness demonstration option, with higher standards indicating students are prepared for general education core courses without remediation.

• Defines higher achievement standards to include specified higher scores on assessments and receipt of college course credits through concurrent enrollment in career and technical education, general education core, or higher-level courses.

• Requires school districts and charter high schools to report the college and career readiness demonstration options they have adopted so students can demonstrate readiness before graduation.

• Establishes reporting requirements for the percentage of students meeting higher achievement standards in college and career readiness at individual school, district, and state levels.
