• Requires engineering plans involving excavation to include specific information about the description, nature, and location of underground facilities instead of only general information.

• Mandates engineers perform underground facilities investigations according to board-specified standards and attempt to achieve minimum locational confidence on all underground facilities unless reasonable exceptions are noted on plans.

• Requires engineers to stamp underground facilities depictions at their actual achieved locational confidence level and provide stamped plans to the person conducting the excavation upon request.

• Applies to conduct occurring on or after the effective date of the act.
