Senate approves Senate President Grantham's appointment of William "Bill" Leone to the Independent Ethics Commission for a four-year term commencing July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2021.

Leone, a Republican, was previously appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to a four-year term expiring June 30, 2017, and has served as chairman of the Commission over the past two years.

Leone is a partner and head of litigation at Norton Rose Fulbright law firm in Denver, and previously served as United States Attorney for the District of Colorado from 2004 to 2006.

The Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court appointed Leone to serve on the Chief Justice's Commission on the Legal Profession focusing on service to others.
