HB18-1019 Summary

• Adds new performance measures for determining ratings of public high schools, school districts, and the state beginning in the 2020-21 school year

• Requires tracking the percentage of students who successfully complete Advanced Placement courses in non-English/Math subjects and earn a score of 3 or higher on the end-of-course exam

• Requires tracking the percentage of students who successfully complete concurrent enrollment courses in non-English/Math subjects and earn a grade of "B" or higher

• Requires tracking the percentage of students who successfully complete International Baccalaureate courses in non-English/Math subjects and earn a score of 4 or higher

• Appropriates $30,000 to the Department of Education for the 2018-19 fiscal year from the general fund to implement information technology services needed for the bill
