Amends Colorado Revised Statutes 6-1-109 to clarify the standard required when the attorney general or district attorney applies for a court order to compel compliance with deceptive trade practice investigations.

Changes the required language in court applications from stating the order is necessary to "terminate or prevent" a deceptive trade practice to "investigate" a deceptive trade practice.

Applies to investigations under sections 6-1-107 and subpoenas under section 6-1-108 related to deceptive trade practices defined in Article 1.

Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
