Requires the state board of licensure for architects, professional engineers, and professional land surveyors to adopt rules establishing continuing education requirements for professional land surveyors by December 31, 2019.

Continuing education rules must apply to license renewals for active land surveying licenses on or after July 1, 2020.

Rules must require professional land surveyors to complete board-approved continuing education sufficient to maintain competency.

Act takes effect August 8, 2018, or upon voter approval if a referendum petition is filed within 90 days of adjournment.
