Adds subsection (8) to Colorado Revised Statutes 18-6-403 to clarify that the law enforcement and defense counsel exemption for sexual exploitation of a child crimes does not alter discovery procedures for sexually exploitative material.

References Section 16-9-601 as the statute governing discovery procedures for sexually exploitative material, which remains unchanged by this act.

Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
