CO HB1085

Requires the Department of Public Health and Environment to research and compile published scientific articles, epidemiological studies, court decisions, and law review articles regarding potential health effects from noise and stray voltage generated by industrial wind energy turbines on humans and animals.

Defines "industrial wind energy turbine" as a wind turbine with capacity to generate at least 1.5 megawatts of electricity.

Mandates the Department submit a report compiling research findings and summary to specified House and Senate committees by January 1, 2020, and present the report at a joint committee of reference public hearing.

Prohibits the Department from requesting appropriations for research and reporting costs but allows acceptance of gifts, grants, or donations from private or public sources.

The statute automatically repeals on July 1, 2020.
