Allows military spouses to obtain Colorado professional teacher licenses with teaching experience that need not be continuous, provided it occurred within the previous seven years instead of the standard requirement of at least three years of continuous experience.

Allows military spouses to obtain Colorado professional special services licenses with special services provider experience that need not be continuous, provided it occurred within the previous seven years instead of the standard requirement of at least three years of continuous experience.

Defines "military spouse" as a spouse of an active duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces who has been transferred or is scheduled to be transferred to Colorado, is domiciled in Colorado, or has moved to Colorado on a permanent change-of-station basis.

Applies the exemption to both professional teacher licenses under Colorado Revised Statutes 22-60.5-201 and professional special services licenses under Colorado Revised Statutes 22-60.5-210.

Takes effect August 8, 2018, subject to referendum petition rights.
