House Bill 18-1134 Summary

• Adds eligibility requirements for kindergarten students funded through Early Childhood At-Risk Enhancement (ECARE) preschool program positions.

• Requires children enrolled in a full day of a district's existing full-day kindergarten program using a preschool position to satisfy at least one eligibility requirement from Colorado Revised Statutes section 22-28-106(1)(a)(II) through (1)(a)(IV).

• Takes effect August 8, 2018, or upon voter approval if a referendum petition is filed within the 90-day period following adjournment of the general assembly.

• Governor John W. Hickenlooper approved the bill.
