HB 18-1139 Summary

• Removes twelve outdated statutory references to a repealed Parks and Wildlife Commission reporting requirement that was eliminated on September 1, 2017.

• Replaces references to the repealed statute section 33-10-111(5) with direct language stating fees are set "by the commission by rule" across Colorado Revised Statutes Title 33.

• Updates fee-related provisions for state parks, vessel registration, snowmobile registration, and off-highway vehicle registration and permits to reference commission rulemaking authority instead of the expired reporting requirement.

• Makes technical corrections to statutory language, including clarifying that the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation Cash Fund is created in section 33-10-111(1).

• Effective August 8, 2018, subject to referendum petition procedures.
