Replace all references to "paupers" with "indigent persons" throughout Colorado Revised Statutes as a nonsubstantive language modernization that does not alter the scope or applicability of affected statutes.

Amend CRS 15-19-302 regarding unclaimed bodies to replace "paupers" with "indigent persons" in provisions governing delivery of deceased bodies to anatomical boards and public burial expenses.

Amend CRS 25-3-309 regarding hospital fees to replace "pauper" with "indigent" in language describing persons required to pay reasonable compensation for hospital services.

Amend CRS 28-5-502 regarding interment of deceased veterans to replace "pauper dead" with "deceased indigent persons" in provisions prohibiting veteran burials in sections exclusively designated for indigent burials.

Effective date is August 8, 2018, unless subject to a referendum petition filed within 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly.
