• Consumer reporting agencies are prohibited from charging fees to create records, place, remove, or temporarily lift security freezes on consumer reports for any consumer under 18 years of age.

• Agencies must notify protected consumers or their representatives within 5 business days of discovering unauthorized release of frozen information, including details of what information was released and to whom.
