CO HB1395

Creates the Colorado Youth Advisory Council Review Committee comprised of 10 members: 5 voting members (4 legislative members of the council plus 1 legislative council member) and 5 nonvoting members (youth council members appointed annually by April 30).

Review committee may meet up to 3 times each interim and may recommend up to 3 bills per interim, with recommended legislation treated as interim committee recommendations for purposes of legislative deadlines and introduction limits.

Committee chair and vice-chair positions are held by the co-chair and vice-chair of the youth advisory council; majority of voting members constitutes a quorum.

Voting members receive compensation under existing legislative provisions; nonvoting members may receive expense reimbursement from the youth advisory council cash fund, subject to available funds.

Appropriates $25,000 to the youth advisory council cash fund for the 2018-19 fiscal year from the general fund; bill takes effect only if House Bill 18-1186 becomes law.
