Naturopathic doctors must disclose in writing to patients before initial examination that they are registered and not licensed, and are not medical doctors or physicians licensed under Colorado law.

Naturopathic doctors must recommend that patients maintain a relationship with a medical doctor or licensed physician and attempt to develop collaborative relationships with patients' licensed physicians.

Naturopathic doctors may use titles "registered naturopathic doctor," "registered doctor of naturopathy," or initials "N.D." instead of "R.N.D."

Naturopathic doctors must qualify any specialty services with "naturopathic" or "naturopath" and are prohibited from using the term "physician" to describe their practice in Colorado.

Naturopathic doctors may disclose membership in national naturopathic organizations unless the disclosure is false, misleading, or deceptive.
