Expands the Child Nutrition School Lunch Protection Program to include students in sixth through eighth grade, extending coverage from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Requires school food authorities that elect to participate to provide free lunches to sixth through eighth grade students who would otherwise pay a reduced price for lunch.

Appropriates $564,279 to the Colorado Department of Education for fiscal year 2018-19 to implement the program expansion.

Mandates annual appropriations of between $500,000 and $750,000 starting in fiscal year 2018-19 for school food authorities that voluntarily eliminate reduced-price lunch payments for middle school students.

Declares the act necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
