Exempts motor vehicles hauling agricultural commodities from the requirement to clear a port of entry weigh station within 5 miles of their route.

Applies the exemption to owners or operators utilizing trailers primarily used for transporting agricultural commodities or livestock, including hopper bottom, flat bed, live bottom, and livestock trailers.

Maintains existing port of entry clearance requirements for all other motor vehicles with an empty weight of 16,000 or more pounds or a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds.

Takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly (August 8, 2018) unless subject to a referendum petition filed by voters.
