Adds autism spectrum disorder to the list of qualifying disabling medical conditions for medical marijuana use in Colorado, allowing diagnosis by a primary care physician, physician with autism spectrum disorder experience, or licensed mental health provider acting within scope of practice.

Modifies pediatric medical marijuana requirements by allowing two physicians (instead of requiring one to be board-certified pediatrician, family physician, or child psychiatrist) to diagnose a disabling medical condition, provided the recommending physician reviews records from a diagnosing physician or licensed mental health provider if not the patient's primary care provider.

Encourages the state board of health to prioritize research grants studying the efficacy and safety of medical marijuana for ovarian cancer, dementia, pediatric conditions including autism spectrum disorder, and other conditions deemed suitable.

Applies to Colorado Revised Statutes sections 25-1.5-106 and 25-1.5-106.5 regarding the medical marijuana program and health research grant program.

Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
