School districts, charter schools, and boards of cooperative services operating secondary schools (grades 9-12) must annually report to the Department of Education by April 30 beginning with the 2019-20 academic year, including total number and names of computer science courses offered, course codes, and course descriptions.

Annual reports must include the number and percentage of students enrolled in computer science courses disaggregated by gender, race and ethnicity, special education status, English language learner status, and free or reduced-price meal eligibility, if available.

Annual reports must include the number of computer science instructors at each school disaggregated by gender, certification status, and terminal degree, if available.

The Department of Education shall post all collected information online for public access by June 30, 2020, and annually thereafter, including course codes, names, descriptions, alignment with high school computer science academic standards, and student and instructor data.

The Department shall not report data for student groups smaller than the minimum threshold necessary to protect student privacy or include any personally identifying student information.
