• Replaces Columbus Day with Election Day as a Colorado state legal holiday while maintaining the total number of state holidays.

• Defines "Election Day" as the first Tuesday in November in odd-numbered years or the Tuesday following the first Monday in November in even-numbered years.

• Applies the Election Day holiday designation to business day definitions in Colorado Revised Statutes sections 5-1-301 and 6-1-102.

• States that replacing Columbus Day does not diminish recognition of Italian-American community contributions to the state.
