Requires all seventh grade students in Colorado public schools, charter schools, and boards of cooperative services to complete a hunter education course once a local education provider enters into an agreement with a certified provider.

Hunter education courses must meet Division of Parks and Wildlife certification requirements, except hands-on activities are not mandatory; courses must be taught by division-certified instructors.

Parent or legal guardian permission is required for any student to participate in hands-on activities offered as part of the course.

Local education providers may seek and accept gifts, grants, or donations from private or public sources to fund the hunter education program.

The Parks and Wildlife Commission may accept completion of a school-based hunter education course toward meeting requirements for obtaining a hunter education certificate.
