Changes maximum jail sentence for municipal ordinance violations from one year to 364 days under Colorado Revised Statutes 13-10-113(1)(a).

Reduces maximum imprisonment for Class 2 misdemeanors from twelve months to 364 days under 18-1.3-501(1)(a).

Reduces maximum imprisonment for DM2 drug misdemeanors from twelve months to 364 days under 18-1.3-501(1)(d).

Reduces maximum jail sentence for misdemeanors without a specified penalty from one year to 364 days under 18-1.3-505(1).

Takes effect 12:01 a.m. on the day following the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly (August 2, 2019), unless subject to a referendum petition requiring voter approval in November 2020.
