CO SB082

Repeals obsolete statutory provisions that granted the State Board of Health authority to accept, disburse, and administer federal and state funds allocated to the Department of Public Health and Environment.

Removes the requirement that department funds be payable only on vouchers signed by both the executive director and the president of the State Board of Health.

Eliminates the designation of the State Board of Health as custodian of funds allotted to the state for purposes outlined in the repealed provisions.

Takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on August 2, 2019, unless a referendum petition is filed within 90 days after final adjournment, in which case approval by voters at the November 2020 general election is required.
