SB19-111: Supplemental Appropriation to the Department of Corrections

• Amends the FY 2018-19 appropriations to the Department of Corrections, modifying Part II of the budget authorization in HB 18-1322.

• Appropriates $895,168,928 in total funding for the Department of Corrections, with $802,192,290 from the General Fund for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018.

• Includes funding across multiple divisions including Management, Institutions, Support Services, Inmate Programs, Community Services, Parole Board, Correctional Industries, and Canteen Operations.

• Adjusts FY 2017-18 appropriations for the Medical Services Subprogram under Institutions, increasing the total to $82,095,067 from previous authorization.

• Contains a safety clause declaring the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
