• Repeals the requirement for the Safe2Tell program to provide awareness and educational materials to preschools, while maintaining requirements for elementary and secondary schools.

• Requires Safe2Tell to establish a process where crisis operators initially receive all calls and texts, with non-crisis communications routed appropriately, and to align procedures across all communication methods.

• Requires the program to develop standardized training materials in collaboration with stakeholders and conduct an annual advertising campaign regarding awareness, use, and misuse of Safe2Tell.

• Allows the attorney general to disclose Safe2Tell materials and information to law enforcement upon request if reasonably necessary to prevent imminent physical harm or serious bodily injury.

• Appropriates $50,000 to the department of law for fiscal year 2020-21 to implement the act.
