Secretary of state shall reimburse counties for purchasing voting equipment and other election supplies and equipment necessary to comply with House Bill 19-1278 requirements.

Secretary of state may also make lease payment grants to counties for the anticipated incremental costs to lease voting equipment and related supplies.

Changes reimbursement from one-time purchase assistance to include ongoing lease cost payments subject to appropriations availability.

Reimbursements or payments shall be made as grants subject to requirements prescribed by the secretary of state.

Designated as necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety under safety clause provision.
