House Bill 20-1382 Summary

• Repeals subsection (2) of Colorado Revised Statutes 24-37.5-112, which previously required unexpended or unencumbered general fund appropriations for information technology procurements to be transferred to the technology advancement and emergency fund instead of reverting to the general fund.

• Adds new subsection (7) to 24-37.5-115 requiring the state treasurer to transfer any unexpended and unencumbered balance from the technology advancement and emergency fund back to the general fund upon the effective date of this provision.

• Repeals the technology advancement and emergency fund entirely effective June 30, 2020.

• Removes the technology advancement and emergency fund from the list of cash funds excluded from uncommitted reserve limitations in 24-75-402.

• Declares the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety.
