Changes Colorado's amber alert program to require the bureau to send alerts using technological applications that promote the largest reach of community notifications, rather than limiting distribution only to the federal communications commission's designated state emergency alert system broadcaster.

Removes the restriction that alerts be sent solely to the state emergency alert system broadcaster, allowing use of multiple notification technologies to reach the widest possible audience.

Requires radio and television stations to issue alerts at designated intervals as specified in rule.

Mandates that when canceling alerts, the bureau use the same technological applications described in the alert distribution process when applicable.

Declares the act necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, or safety.
