Hotel and restaurant licensees must allow customers age 21 or older to bring one container of up to 750 milliliters of wine onto licensed premises where meals are served for on-premises consumption during a meal.

Licensees may prohibit customers from bringing wine if the customer brought wine into the premises within the previous 24 hours, appears under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the establishment has ceased serving meals, or the customer has committed unlawful acts on the premises.

Customers may reseal and remove partially consumed wine bottles that they brought into the licensed premises.

Amends Colorado alcohol statutes to clarify that consuming brought wine does not violate existing unlawful acts provisions, provided all consumers are at least 21 years old and requirements are met.

Takes effect August 5, 2020, unless subject to referendum petition requiring voter approval in November 2020.
