Licensed brew pubs may sell malt liquors manufactured at a separate brew pub location on the licensed premises in sealed containers for off-premises consumption, provided both locations share the same ownership.

"Same ownership" is defined as a person or group of persons holding at least 50 percent ownership interest in both the selling brew pub and the manufacturing brew pub location.

The amendment modifies Colorado Revised Statutes 44-3-417 to clarify that brew pubs may now sell products manufactured off-site, whereas previously only on-site manufactured products could be sold in sealed containers.

The act takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on August 5, 2020, or 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless subject to a voter referendum petition.
