Former Colorado State Senator Kathy Arnold, born October 25, 1941, passed away on December 23, 2018.

Served as State Representative for House District 28 from 1978-1983, chairing the House Judiciary Committee, and as State Senator for Senate District 22 from 1983-1986, becoming the first woman chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

After leaving the legislature, served on the University of Colorado Board of Regents for six years, including as Chair of the Board, and received the title of Regent Emeritus in 1994.

Continued community service in retirement through church board work, horse therapy for veterans, and competitive barrel racing until age 76.

Survived by her husband Harold, seven children, and eleven grandchildren; copies of this memorial to be sent to her family members.
