Acknowledges the Francisco Maestas et al. v. George H. Shone et al. case (1912-1914) in the San Luis Valley as the nation's earliest and longest unheralded victory against educational segregation.

Documents that 10-year-old Miguel Maestas was forced to walk seven blocks to attend a segregated "Mexican" school despite living near a public school, prompting his father Francisco Maestas to file suit on September 2, 1913.

Recognizes District Court Judge Charles Holbrook's decision ordering the school board and superintendent to admit all prepared children to the public school nearest their homes, ruling that integration was necessary to eliminate discontent and bitterness.

Directs the General Assembly to acknowledge the Latino community's tireless efforts in advocating for public school integration and improving educational outcomes for all students in Colorado.

Requires copies of the resolution be sent to Conejos County Commissioners, Alamosa County Commissioners, La Sociedad Proteccion Mutua De Trabajadores Unidos, the San Luis Valley Bar Association, Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, University of Colorado Boulder School of Education, and the Sangre de Cristo National Heritage Area.
