CO SB011

Establishes civil liability immunity for small businesses (fewer than 50 employees) for COVID-19-related exposure, loss, damage, injury, or death if the business makes good faith efforts to comply with applicable public health guidelines.

Immunity does not apply if exposure, loss, damage, injury, or death results from gross negligence or willful and wanton acts or omissions by the small business.

Defines "guidelines" to include all applicable official public health guidelines, instructions, orders, and mandates related to COVID-19 issued by the governor, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, or other governmental agencies.

Does not abrogate or limit any existing governmental immunity already granted to small businesses.

Automatically repeals 2 years after the governor or General Assembly terminates the state of disaster emergency declared on March 11, 2020.
