School district board officers and members may be compensated for their services in amounts determined by written resolution adopted by majority vote in a public meeting, except board presidents and vice-presidents receive no compensation.

Compensation is capped at $150 per day for no more than five days of service per week, excluding federal and state holidays, and only for days when official board duties are performed.

"Official board duties" includes board meetings and other official activities conducted with a majority of the board present.

Board members cannot receive compensation increases during their current term in office.

After January 1, 2022, compensation may be adjusted annually based on the U.S. Department of Labor's Consumer Price Index for Denver-Aurora-Lakewood.
