Department of Transportation must report monthly to the Transportation Commission within fifteen days after the close of each month on expenditures from each budget category and unexpended/unencumbered balance of each budget subcategory.

Department must make monthly financial reports publicly available on its website.

Department must submit monthly financial reports to the State Controller no later than fifteen days after the close of each month.

Monthly reports to the Controller must include sufficient financial information for the Controller to review legal overexpenditures, deficit fund balances, budget-to-actual reports for all budget lines in the annual general appropriations act, and any additional information deemed reasonable and necessary by the Controller.

Act takes effect 12:01 a.m. the day following the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly, unless subject to a referendum petition.
