Allows a candidate nominated for lieutenant governor to simultaneously run for another elected office (excluding U.S. Senator or Representative in Congress) as a joint candidate.

If elected to both offices, the person must accept the lieutenant governor position and resign from the other office within seven days of the final certification of both election results.

Requires candidates running for both lieutenant governor and another office to close any campaign committee for the non-lieutenant governor office and cease fundraising and spending for that office before accepting the lieutenant governor nomination.

Prohibits candidates from receiving contributions or making expenditures for the other elected office on or after filing acceptance of the lieutenant governor nomination, with unexpended funds redirected according to state law.

Takes effect 90 days after the 2021 legislative session ends, subject to voter approval if a referendum petition is filed by November 2022.
